Wildwood (2020-2025)

Wildwood is an upcoming American animated dark fantasy film directed by Travis Knight and written by Chris Butler, based on Colin Meloy’s 2011 novel illustrated by Carson Ellis. Produced by Laika, the film features an ensemble voice cast led by Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Jacob Tremblay, Carey Mulligan, Mahershala Ali, Awkwafina, Angela Bassett, Jake Johnson, Charlie Day, Amandla Stenberg, Jemaine Clement, Maya Erskine, Tantoo Cardinal, Tom Waits, and Richard E. Grant.
The plot follows Prue McKeel and her classmate Curtis Mehlberg as they are drawn into a hidden magical forest in an attempt to save Prue’s kidnapped infant brother Mac from the crows led by a mysterious woman named Alexandra.
As a Character Project Manager on Wildwood at LAIKA, I focused on coordinating between our traditional stop-motion world and cutting-edge digital technology. I spent my days working with both our physical puppet teams and digital artists, making sure these two very different workflows could talk to each other successfully. A big part of my job was problem-solving – figuring out how to effectively use and document new materials and processes; creating workflows that could be replicated on future films. I also got to represent the studio externally, whether that was presenting our innovations to the entire company or showcasing our work at industry events.
Missing Link (2015-2019)

As a Character Fabricator and Silicone Asset Technician on Missing Link, I pioneered new character development approaches that integrated unique fabrication processes with 3D printing technologies. I tackled creative problem-solving to bridge digital-to-real-world technical challenges while building comprehensive asset libraries and documentation systems for training and rapid iteration.
The Little Prince (2015)

As Character Fabrication Supervisor on The Little Prince for ON Animation, I developed an innovative fabrication method and production pipeline that cut character development time while preserving the film’s distinctive aesthetic. I oversaw task assignments, crew training, and resource allocation, designed specialized workspaces for the fabrication team, and established quality control protocols for mass-produced components.
